Chris Parks Michigan Daily Journalism Award

$6,000 Need Based Scholarship that supports Michigan Daily writer based upon quality of work over twelve months and financial need.

Class of 1998 Fund 

$1,500 Need Based Scholarship supports Michigan Daily student reporters and editors in good standing on a need-basis. Preference is given to students with a demonstrated interest in a career in journalism or mass communications

Ken Fink MI Daily Award

$3,000 Merit Award- supports a Michigan Daily freshman, sophomore, or junior photographer based upon creativity, humor, spontaneity, originality and technical mastery.

3. Submit links to photos, photo stories or multimedia that exhibit creativity, humor, spontaneity, originality and technical mastery

Lipsey Endowed Scholarships

$5,000 Need Based Scholarship-to be awarded to students involved in any of the student publications enterprises

Hermanoff Scholarship

$5,000 need based scholarship to be awarded to a Michigan Daily edit or business staff.

Gottesman Scholarship

$3,000 need and merit based scholarship to be awarded to the editorial staff of the Michigan Daily

Wendy Owen Memorial Scholarship

provides $2,500 scholarship support to freshman, sophomore, or junior Michigan Daily editorial staff member(s) whose contributions to the university community have been soundly constructive and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Peterson-Finberg Scholarship

based upon need and merit, supports sophomore, junior or senior business or edit staff member(s) who have performed their duties meritoriously.

Naweed Sikora Scholarship

$800 Merit Award provides support for any Michigan Daily writer, who has worked for the daily for at least two semesters

Ray O’Hara Award in Sports Writing at The Daily

$2,000 Merit Award- supports any Michigan Daily sports staff member with an investigative, ethical style that exhibits candor, a search for truth, and a sense of humor.
